Heated Driveway Systems’ founder, owner and director, Bo Nielsen, has over 20 years’ experience of underfloor heating systems. In fact, there’s not much Bo doesn’t know about underfloor heating. From design and installation to product development, supply and what it’s like to be the customer, Bo has seen and done it all.
Having spent a decade in construction and 15 years at the helm of award-winning distributor Heat Mats Ltd (which he founded), Bo was ready to get back to what he loves best: people and projects.
Frustrated at the lack of professional heated driveway installers and the lack of bespoke, cost effective options for different length and shaped drives, Heated Driveway Systems (HDS) was born.
HDS can install a heated driveway system anywhere. We’ve developed a number of made to order heating systems for driveways and ramps, using our own HDS bespoke cables and heated mats. Alternatively, we are also an approved Heat Mat installer.
All our products are custom made to order off-site and allow up to 100m of tyre-tracks to be laid in a single day. Our systems can be used with a number of different surfaces (which you can view in our case studies) and we can also offer trace heating cables to ensure that drainage channels don’t freeze up.
We offer site visits, specification advice, custom made products and installation at whatever level you require on a supply or supply and installation basis. Our thermostats and sensors ensure energy efficiency and operate automatically. And our bespoke system means delays and time on site are kept to a minimum and costs are kept down.
