An unusual project which required a roof installation of heated cables

This school needed to ensure a roof top fire exit and walkway was kept sage and ice free at all times.

Technical

HDS installed 2 heated mats controlled by air temperature and moisture sensors to ensure the fire escape is kept clear and functional. The total electrical load was just 8.5Kw (300w/sqm) and the installation was completed within a day.

The school was thrilled with this innovative solution to an important safety issue.
