Ramp Heating down to basement parking at private property in Dorset
A heated driveway system was required for this extremely steep ramp down to a basement garage area for this new luxury family home being built in a small village in Dorset.
Technical info:
HDS designed and installed 2 x 0.6metre wide heated tracks on this 20 meter long ramp splitting out to the 2 garage parking spaces and also fitting extra heating at the top of the ramp.
Using heated tracks compared to heating the full width of the driveway meant we could keep the power consumption and also the running cost to a minimum.
The system is controlled by a HDS fully automatic ice and snow melting control using 2 ground moisture sensors and one air temperature sensor.
