Ramp heating system for luxury apartment project
The developer was looking for an ice and snow melting system to secure year round access down the step ramp to the underground parking area, without having to clear snow and use salt.
Technical info:
HDS designed and installed 2 x 1.2 metre wide heated tracks on this 21meter long curved ramp.
Using heated tracks compared to heating the full width of the driveway meant we could keep the power consumption and also the running cost to a minimum.
The system is controlled by a HDS fully automatic ice and snow melting control using 2 ground moisture sensors and one air temperature sensor.
